Idun’s Eastfold Crew
Idun's childhood friends Jonas, Mads, Kimo and Emil from the Tronvik in the Eastfold. They used to fix cars and race togethr.
These four boys were Idun’s closest friends growing up — her racing partners, her engine-tuning crew, and the only people who knew her before DOLL-3 transformed her life. Each followed a vocational path typical for young men in Imperial Norway, while Idun was conscripted into the Matriarchy infantry.
This is subject to change. I have not put a lot of thought into this crew. Think of it as a draft while I develop Idun's childhood story properly.

Jonas Ødegaard

Personality
Quiet, thoughtful, brilliant with engines, terrible at talking about feelings. Jonas communicates in grunts, nods, and the sound of socket wrenches. He was the one Idun always ended up wrenching beside in comfortable silence. After Idun’s DOLL-3 transformation, he became visibly nervous around her — hands shaking when she leaned over an engine — but he never crossed her boundaries.
Relationship to Idun
Her closest technical equal during her teenage years. The one she trusted with her biggest mechanical problems… and her most painful confessions.
Mads Halvorsen

Personality
Calm, grounded, the “responsible” one in the group. Mads rarely got flustered — except when Idun’s curves suddenly made every shared car ride awkward. He tries to be the grown-up, even when he’s not. Kind, steady, a little too serious sometimes.
Relationship to Idun
He always tried to treat her like the same tomboy he grew up with… and failed miserably once DOLL-3 kicked in. Years later, Idun might cross paths with him again on an Imperial Tower airship maintenance deck.
Kim Are “Kimo” Stenberg

- Age: 1 year older than Idun

Personality
Loud, chaotic, always laughing, always one bad idea away from blowing something up. Kimo flirted with anything that had a pulse, but was harmless, affectionate, and fiercely loyal. He made the dumb jokes, pushed the stupid dares, and was the loudest cheerer when Idun raced.
Relationship to Idun
He fell for her hard after her transformation — and tried desperately to hide it under loud jokes and bravado. Idun both loved and hated that about him.
Emil Bakke
- Role: The Navigator / Future Armored Systems Tech
- Age: Same year as Idun

- Accepted into a specialized mechanized-systems apprenticeship in 2045
Occupation
Armored Vehicle Technician

Personality
Shy, sweet, bookish, easily flustered. Emil always had maps in his head and grease on his glasses. He admired Idun quietly for years — long before DOLL-3 made it impossible to hide.
Relationship to Idun
The crush hit him hardest. He stammered whenever she spoke to him, and she teased him because it was “cute.”
Years later, fate humiliates him again:
Idun arrives at Vieregg Industries as an engineer.
Emil meets her as a low-rank technician tightening bolts under her design authority.
